Social media enhances community resilience during crises like COVID-19, efficiently mobilizing volunteers in India through social capital. Investigating the impact of networking on nursing students’ volunteerism, the study proposes solidarity and emergency response strategies. Addressing India’s health challenges amid infrastructure gaps and high population density, the study underscores the significance of social capital. It connects individuals’ attitudes and intentions towards volunteering, emphasizing the role of volunteering in civic engagement. The study stresses strategic planning and evidence-based methods for addressing societal challenges, especially during pandemics. Additionally, it offers practical approaches for leveraging social media to promote nursing student volunteerism, enhance healthcare and bolster societal cohesion.
