Stefan Yavorskyi and the Jesuits

The chapter explores how Orthodox students acquired education in Jesuit colleges of the Polish–Lithuanian Commonwealth and pontifical seminaries and brought it back to Kyiv. Through the case of Stefan Yavorskyi, it shows how education across confessional boundaries shaped teaching at the Kyiv-Mohyla Academy in the late 17th century.
