SPECIAL PROCEEDINGS IN THE CRIMINAL PROCESS OF RUSSIA: A BRIEF DESCRIPTION

In this article, the authors, based on the legislative approach to the allocation of special proceedings (Part 4 of the Criminal Procedure Code of the Russian Federation), consider the proceedings for minors, the appointment of a criminal penalty in cases of exemption from criminal liability, and the application of compulsory medical measures in relation to certain categories of citizens, from the perspective of their essence, significance, and specific implementation issues.
