Socio-demographic predictors of students' reproductive health

Today, it is generally accepted that investing in the preservation and improvement of young people’s health is the most profitable long-term investment for any society. The protection of reproductive health is a priority in the preservation of the nation’s health and it contributes to the creation of favourable conditions for starting a family and giving birth. The aim of the paper was to assess behaviour regarding students’ reproductive health and establish its connection with demographic and socio-economic characteristics of the students at the University of Priština with a temporary seat in Kosovska Mitrovica. The questionnaire of the World Health Organization was used as a research instrument. In relation to reproductive health, the greatest proportion of more than two thirds of the respondents, demonstrated “risky” behaviour. Male students behave in a riskier manner in relation to reproductive health.
