Size-dependent reflection behavior of graphene oxide-based photonic crystals
Daisuke Ogawa, Yuta Nishina, Koki SanoAbstract
Graphene oxide (GO) nanosheets can spontaneously self-assemble into photonic crystals in water, exhibiting structural colors based on Bragg reflection. In this study, we systematically investigated the effect of GO lateral size on the reflection behavior of GO-based photonic crystals. Reflection spectroscopy revealed that both the reflection peak intensity and its time-dependent evolution strongly depended on the GO lateral size, suggesting the existence of an optimal size range for maximizing their reflection intensity.
