Subject of study
. The use of the drop-cast method to fabricate single-photon sources is studied.
Aim of study
. The aim of this study is to develop a technological process for fabricating single-photon sources.
Method
. First, the period and fill-factor of focusing grating couplers were calculated at wavelengths of 545 and 600 nm. Second, the Python programming language was used to design photonic integrated circuits. Third, electron-beam lithography was used to manufacture an integrated circuit chip. Fourth, quantum dots were placed on the chip using the drop-cast method.
Main results
. A technological process for fabricating single-photon sources was developed. The positions of quantum dots on the chip were determined, and their spectral characteristics were measured. The obtained data can be used to improve the accuracy and probability of individual quantum dot deposition.
Practical significance
. The proposed technological process can be employed to create single-photon sources using quantum dots in photonic integrated circuits, introducing possibilities for various applications in quantum technologies.
