Prurigo nodularis (PN) is a chronic inflammatory skin disease with poorly understood pathogenesis. We performed single-cell RNA sequencing on skin samples from PN patients to characterize resident memory T cell (TRM) subsets. Our findings reveal heterogeneous populations of PN CD4 TRMs in relation to the transcriptomes of atopic dermatitis and psoriasis, with immunologic heterogeneity correlating with treatment response.
