«SimEd» mobile app for teaching computer and simulation modeling
Dmitry EvdokimovThe article is devoted to the development of the mobile application «SimEd», created by a group of researchers at the CEMI RAS and MISIS and designed to popularize and teach the basics of simulation modeling. The platforms involved in the creation of the application are described. This article focuses on the implementation of the updated user interface and the preparation of the application for publication. The redesign process is aimed at increasing convenience and engagement. The architecture of the intuitive interface is considered in detail, which provides easy navigation, quick access to key sections and predictability of actions due to the consistent and visually consistent organization of controls. The implementation of these functions makes the application a full-fledged user-oriented learning system. The key functionality of the application is described: structured training courses, interactive tests of various types and a progress tracking system. The article also covers the conducted analysis of the educational technology «EdTech» market, justification of the product's relevance, comparison with competitors, and strategic prospects for the development of «SimEd», including expansion to cross-platform solutions and the introduction of personalized educational trajectories.
