Self-diffusion in solid helium

Based on measured rates of diffusion flow we have obtained data on the self-diffusion coefficients in hep 4He at molar volumes 20.30 to 20.82 cm3/mole. The experimental self-diffusion data in the working temperature range 1.3 to 1.7 K are shown to be consistently described by means of quantum mobility of thermal vacancies.
