Selective patterning of hybrid colloids via reconfigurable acoustic-dielectric field

Frequency switching reconfigures a surface acoustic wave device between acoustic and dielectric-dominated force regimes. The device enables selective patterning of mixed particle populations impossible with acoustophoresis or dielectrophoresis alone.
