Abstract
We have described herein a metal‐free one‐pot synthesis of indolizin‐1‐yl‐pyrimidines from ethyl 3‐(3‐ethoxy‐3‐oxopropanoyl) indolizine‐1‐carboxylate, DMF‐DMA and amidines. This protocol provides the tethering of indolizine scaffold with various 2‐substitutted pyrimidines using simple starting materials. This new chemo‐types may be useful in drug discovery and material science exploration.
