Sc(OTf)3/Cu(CH3CN)4PF6-Catalyzed Highly Chemo- and Regio-Selectivity Prenylation of Phenols with 1,1-Dimethylallylalkohols
PanPan Wang, Yating Zhu, Xue zhang, Yadi zhang, Xudong Gao, xiaolei wangHerein, we reported Sc(OTf)3/Cu(CH3CN)4PF6-catalyzed prenylation of phenols with highly chemo- and region-selectivity under mild condition via easy available catalysts, affording the corresponding prenylated products in good to excellent yield. Through this catalytic system alkylation of phenols with various allylic alcohols was also achieved in excellent selectivity and yield. Furthermore, this methodology was used to modification of nature products containing phenols, which might be used for investigating the structure-activity relationship.
