Today, the field of production and maintenance of electric transport is actively developing both in the capital of our country and in its regions. Thus, for example, in 2022, the electric buses began to serve on 4 new routes of Novaya Moskva. The routes connect Troitsk with the nearest settlements. This was due to the opening of an electric park. The situation in the regions is as follows. Starting from 2024, 20 electric robots were installed on the streets of Rostov-on-Don, for which 6 stations were installed. At the moment in Rostov on routes are operated KamAZ-6282 electric buses. Similarly, in Orenburg, the city government has allocated a portion of the budget to purchase electrical equipment and build charging stations, as planned until 2030. The paper analyzes the history of the emergence of electric and electric vehicles in various countries. The structure and fire hazard of lithium-ion batteries was also analyzed. Conducted an experiment to evaluate the supply of extinguishing substances by impulse method that can provide effective and safe extinguishment of fires at various objects, especially in the initial stage of a fire, when work on equipment shutoff occurs.
