Russia in the Structure of Economic Relations of Northeast China: Post-Covid Renaissance

The article is devoted to the foreign economic policy of the northeastern territories of China and the state of their economic ties with Russia. Based on Chinese official documents and customs statistics, the author analyzes how the provinces of the Northeast solve the task set by the Chinese government of creating an "openness platform" of China to the North, notes a significant increase in the volume of their exports to the Russian Federation and imports of Heilongjiang Province, shows the commodity structure of their exports and imports and links the changes taking place not so much with the implementation of Beijing’s guidelines as with favorable market conditions in Russia.
