Rotary Friction Welding of Dissimilar Steels: Review

Zakaria Boumerzoug
Friction welding is an assembly process that has become increasingly common in industry in recent years. Rotary friction welding is one type of friction welding and is very simple to use. This process is used to join similar and dissimilar metals. This review will focus on its application for welding dissimilar steels. Scientific works related to this topic have been presented, providing an overview of welding parameters and their influence on the microstructures and properties of welded joints. A conclusion has been drawn up containing the important points related to these research investigations.
