ABSTRACT

Facing the development needs of power electronics and energy storage devices, it is of great value to develop polymer‐based composites with high dielectric constant and low dielectric loss. In this work, we modified the surface of carbon nanotubes (CNTs) by the conjugate effect of imidazolium cations and the surface of CNTs and then assembled them with two‐dimensional montmorillonite (MMT) layers by the interaction of positive and negative charges to form a sandwich structure. Hybrid materials, and on this basis, dielectric composites, were prepared with thermoplastic elastomer (TPU) as the matrix. MMT–CNTs/TPU composites have high dielectric constant (92.02) and low dielectric loss (0.36) and have an elongation of 335.53% and a modulus of 72.93 MPa.
