Esophageal submucosal tumors are rare, often benign, and amenable to minimally invasive resection when symptomatic or enlarging. Robotic-assisted thoracoscopic enucleation offers superior visualization and maneuverability, particularly in challenging locations. This article reviews the technique for robotic transhiatal and transthoracic approaches. The robotic-assisted approach can allow for safe and effective enucleation through a minimally invasive platform.
