ABSTRACT

Melasma necessitates effective long‐term management that goes beyond initial treatment. Although the Kligman–Willis triple combination is the standard induction therapy, prolonged use of corticosteroids raises safety concerns. We propose a maintenance strategy that spares corticosteroids while still utilizing a formulation that has been proven over the years to be the most effective for treating melasma. This approach aims to enhance safety by omitting corticosteroids.
