Response planning for primary producers to manage water shortages in South Australia

ABSTRACT

South Australia is currently experiencing water security challenges in the Eyre Peninsula. More than 40% of drinking water is supplied to farms which require a unique approach to response planning and water efficiency within our Water Security Response plan framework. Level 3 and 4 restrictions for on-farm water use for primary producers were co-developed with key stakeholders safeguarding potential economic and social impacts.
