Abstract

Background:

Psychological resilience and self-efficacy are important constructs influencing how healthcare professionals cope with occupational stress.

Methods:

This cross-sectional observational study was done over six months from October 2025 to March 2026 among healthcare professionals at a tertiary care teaching hospital. Participants completed the Brief Resilience Scale, General Self-Efficacy Scale, and a copy of sociodemographic questionnaire. Based on age, participants were categorized into Generation Z, Millennials, and Generation X.

Results:

Resilience and self-efficacy scores were comparable across generational cohorts and between genders (nonsignificantly different). No significant correlation was observed between resilience and self-efficacy.

Conclusion:

These findings suggest that resilience and self-efficacy may be relatively stable across generational groups in healthcare settings.
