The diagnosis of endo-perio lesion is complex and challenging because of its interrelationship with pulp and periodontal structures. Most of the cases for endodontic management required surgical intervention resulting in extensive tissue lost. Recent advancement such as platelet rich fibrin enhances tissue regeneration which is more predictable when done with a specific technique. Platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) is a concentrate from platelets widely used to accelerate soft and hard tissue healing while xenograft is a bone inductive bioresorbable composed of type I collagen which provide biological response as scaffolds for revascularization, osteoblastic migration and facilitate bone healing process. The purpose of this case report is to combine the biological properties of PRF with xenograft following sandwich technique in the management of endo-perio lesion assessed clinically and radiographically with follow up time period of 6 months. The case reportdescribes the management of endo-perio lesion in a 45-year-old female patient in right mandibular canine was treated with platelet rich fibrin andxenograft after conventional endodontic therapy. The follow up time period was 6 months and radiographically showed adequate amount of bone formation with the use of PRF and xenograft and tooth was asymptomatic with satisfactory healing. The interdisciplinary approach can result in complete resolution with positive outcome by incorporating the novel grafting materials in regeneration associated with endo-perio lesion.
