ABSTRACT

Ophiopogon cordylinoides has been rediscovered after a period of 90 years from a new locality in Dima Hasao district of Assam, India. This study presents the first detailed photographic documentation of living plants in their natural habitat. An artificial key for the Indian species of Ophiopogon is provided to facilitate identification and future taxonomic studies.
