Rattling-driven thermal transport suppression via engineered weak bonding in a MgAl 2 Se 4 monolayer
Yufei Meng, Shulin Bai, Da Wan, Peng Ai, Song Pei, Guowei Wang, Zhanpeng Xu, Hao Sun, Pengfei Zhang, Shuwei Tang, Shizhi DongTwo-dimensional MgAl 2 Se 4 selenide exhibits intrinsically low lattice thermal conductivity originating from strong phonon anharmonicity, high-frequency phonon scattering, and intrinsic bonding asymmetry.
