Rapid Assembly of Pyrrolidinyl Dispirooxindoles: α‐[3 + 2] Cycloaddition Reactions of Iminoindoline‐Derived Alkenes and Oxindole‐Derived Azomethine Ylides

We herein report the development of an additive‐free 1,3‐dipolar cycloaddition between in situ‐generated oxindole‐derived azomethine ylides and iminoindoline‐derived alkenes under mild conditions. This facile and efficient protocol, featuring good functional group tolerance, provides straightforward access to a diverse range of novel, structurally intricate, and biologically relevant pyrrolidinyl dispirooxindole derivatives in good yields with excellent diastereoselectivities.
