Rapid and green aqueous synthesis of a porous hydrogen-bonded organic framework contrary to Wallach's rule

Contrary to Wallach's rule, a green, rapid (6 min) aqueous mixing process at room temperature yields racemic porous hydrogen-bonded organic frameworks with high water uptake, while homochiral analogues are dense, non-porous, and require days to form.
