Abstract

Pseudomagnetic fields (PMFs) have attracted significant attention in classical wave systems because of their ability to emulate magnetic‐field effects for charge‐neutral excitations and their potential for robust, magnetic‐free signal processing. Through engineered structural design, PMFs have been realized across diverse physical platforms, enabling a variety of functional devices, including ultracompact microcavities, reconfigurable waveguides, topological beam splitters, and high‐fidelity routing circuits. In this review, we first summarize the theoretical origins of PMFs and their physical generation mechanisms in two‐dimensional Dirac‐like artificial lattices. We then discuss three representative implementation strategies, including synthetic strain, uniaxial gradient deformation, and spatial inversion symmetry breaking, together with their emerging applications in energy localization and backscattering‐immune transport. Finally, we outline the current technological challenges and future research directions, which may provide useful insights into the design of next‐generation tunable topological integrated devices.
