Protein-assisted formation of Au single-atom alloys in Pd-rich nanoparticles

As Au content decreases, local order shifts toward isolated Au environments and Au d-electron density increases. Au 3 Pd 97 also shows ∼20-fold faster apparent 4-nitrophenol reduction than Pd 100 under the tested conditions.
