Rani Gudda, Pranav Sarole

Present study reports application of Pseudomonas sp. strain RSML PS1 isolated from Lonar Lake and its pigments. Pseudomonas produced pyoverdine, pyocyanin and pyomelanin pigments. This study deals with the application of pyocyanin as antibacterial and antifungal agent against Escherichia coli; Bacillus subtilis; Staphylococcus spp.; Fusarium spp.; and Aspergillus spp. and potential use of pyocyanin as a natural dye or pigment in the food and textile industries.
