This study investigates the factors influencing the adoption of electric vehicles (EVs) in Jordan using the Fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process (Fuzzy AHP). It also analyses the robustness of the results through five sensitivity scenarios and a conventional-AHP benchmark. Fuzzy AHP is used with a three-level hierarchical structure, which links the overall goal to categories and the individual factors. The results indicate that the Economic and Market category was the top priority with the highest local weight (0.253), followed by the Technological and Infrastructure category (local weight = 0.248). These two categories together represent 50.1% of the overall importance. Battery Life and Range (global weight = 8.53%) was ranked highest at the factor level, followed closely by Charging Infrastructure (global weight = 8.33%) and Technological Reliability (global weight = 6.42%). These results indicate that initiatives to promote EV adoption in Jordan should first alleviate concerns regarding vehicle range, availability of charging stations, and technological reliability. These priorities provide a context-specific basis for coordinated action by government agencies, vehicle suppliers, charging providers, and other market stakeholders.
