We report a case of hydatid cyst of the right orbit. Our patient presented with right lower lid mass. The cyst was excised via an inferior orbitotomy approach. The diagnosis was confirmed by histopathology. The patient was further investigated and medically managed. It was found that no other organ was affected. Hydatidosis is a zoonosis in which humans are accidental hosts. It usually involves the liver (75%), followed by the lungs, spleen, kidney, and brain. Orbit involvement without systemic involvement is rare. We believe that hydatid cyst of orbit without systemic involvement is very much common in occurrence than previously thought. It should be considered as a differential diagnosis of all the cases of orbit cysts.
