Preparation and characterization of tannin-composite soy protein-based bio-adhesives
Xun Zhou, Yunfeng Tao, Hualong Xuan, Yixi Zhang, Huali TangA bio-based adhesive composed of tannin resin (TR), soy protein isolate (SPI), and nano-SiO 2 is developed, where covalent cross-linking (TR-SPI) and hydrogen bonding (SiO 2 -SPI) synergistically reinforce interfacial adhesion, enabling the fabrication of high-performance plywood via heat pressing.
