Power conversion in SnS photocathodes made by electrochemical growth is limited by recombination at (002) buried facets

Electrochemically grown SnS films can be turned into photocathodes for methylviologen reduction after CdS passivation. Their photocurrent and photovoltage are governed by the crystal orientation and grain size of the SnS absorber.
