Pleopmorphic Adenoma of Nasal Cavity Floor

Krishnan Anjali, Chakaramakal Joseph Andrews, Thuruthiath Nisha

Pleomorphic adenoma (PA) is a benign salivary gland tumor, with nasal cavity involvement being rare (<1% of cases). It may mimic malignancy due to rapid growth and bone remodeling. A 62-year-old male presented with right-sided nasal obstruction and facial swelling for 1 year. Examination revealed a firm mass from the nasal floor, and computerized tomography showed a heterogeneously enhancing lesion with bony erosion. Fine-needle aspiration cytology suggested a spindle cell neoplasm. Endoscopic surgical excision was performed, and histopathology confirmed PA. Recovery was uneventful. Complete excision with tumor-free margins is the treatment of choice, and long-term follow-up is advised to monitor for recurrence.
