NunneyThis chapter aims to provide an understanding of Photoemission Spectroscopy (PES) instrumentation with an emphasis on PES, and the key experimental methods that are used for materials science studies. This will include consideration of the methods for sample mounting, the vacuum requirements for a PES system, the key components required for PES and related experimental methods, and how these elements are brought together to design analytical procedures.
