Photocatalytic synthesis of phosphorothioates by sulfur transfer from thiosulfate

A photocatalytic sulfurization with conventional thiosulfate as a benign sulfur source allows a sustainable synthesis of phosphorothioate oligonucleotides by a mild protocol compatible with solid-phase phosphoramidite oligonucleotide synthesis.
