Photocatalytic Cascade Acylative Cyclization of Phenyl-Bridged 1,6-Enynes with Acyl Oxime Esters: Access to Cyclopenta[ a ]indenes

Abstract

All-carbon fused [6.5.5] tricyclic scaffolds are prevalent in natural products and bioactive molecules. We report visible-light-promoted cascade acylative cyclization of phenyl-bridged 1,6-enynes with acyl oxime esters, rapidly assembling diverse cyclopenta[a]indenes in moderate to good yields under mild photoredox conditions, with broad scope and functional group compatibility.
