«PET-Guided Coronary Intervention»: Rekonstruktion Eines Verschlossenen Venen-Grafts Mittels Embolieschutzkatheter
Bernd van der Loo, Richard Kobza, Michael Klainguti, Philipp A. Kaufmann, Thomas F Liischer«PET-guided coronary intervention»: reconstruction of an occluded venous bypass graft by using a distal occlusion balloon and aspiration catheter. The case of a 58-year-old man with symptomatic coronary multi vessel disease eight years after coronary artery bypass graft surgery is described. Using 13N ammonium PET, myocardial ischemia could clearly be attributed to a subtotally occluded venous bypass jump graft, which was then successfully revascularized by means of stent implantation. Using a catheter system designed to retrieve debris and to protect against distal embolization (Percusurge), extensive plaque material could be retrieved. This procedure may have significantly contributed to the excellent outcome even a year after the initial procedure had been performed.
