Perpendicularly Aligned Superionic Pathways Enable Pressure‐Less Solid‐State Lithium Batteries

Yufan Peng, Jiale Xia, Jinping Liu

A fundamental trade‐off between ionic conductivity and mechanical compliance has long constrained the development of composite solid electrolytes. Cheng et al. address this challenge through a biomimetic electrolyte architecture featuring continuously aligned superionic pathways that decouple ion transport from mechanical flexibility. This architectural design establishes a new paradigm for composite electrolyte engineering and provides a promising route toward practical pressure‐less solid‐state batteries.
