Pain syndrome and delirium in cardiosurgical patients: capacities of regional anesthesia Review of literature
V SHekunov, V Dvoryanchikova, I Pasechnik, I SmeshnoyDevelopment of pain syndrome in cardiosurgical patients is a risk factor for post-operative complications. An adequate pain relief after the surgical interventions is based on a multimodal approach which includes methods of regional anesthesia. The specificity of the prescription of antiplatelet agents and anticoagulants limits the application of central axial blocks. A promising method is the application of peripheral nerve blocks after cardiac surgery.
