In this contribution, an oxoperoxo tungsten complex was synthesized and characterized by elemental analyzes, thermogravimetic analysis (TGA), IR, UV–vis spectroscopy, and single‐crystal x‐ray diffraction (SC‐XRD). Oxidation of CPE to GA in one‐step was conducted by this complex catalyst using 30 wt.% hydrogen peroxide (H 2 O 2 ) in the absence of phase‐transfer catalyst. The effect of the reaction conditions on the oxidation of CPE was studied by varying with the amount loading of the catalyst, the type of organic solvents, reaction temperature, reaction time, amount, and concentration of H 2 O 2 . The results showed that oxoperoxo tungsten complex could achieve the 92.50% conversion of CPE, and the selectivity of GA and 1,2‐diol reached 68.50% and 25.80%, respectively, by using H 2 O 2 as the oxidant and tertbutyl alcohol (TBA) as the solvent. More importantly, the resultant catalyst exhibited robust stability in recycling experiments, which plays a very important role in the industrialization of CPE oxidation.
