Abstract

Inspired by the human visual nervous system, artificial neuromorphic optoelectronic sensors have made significant strides toward miniaturization, rapid processing, and exceptional energy efficiency. Nevertheless, persistent bottlenecks remain regarding mechanical compliance, scalable manufacturing, and biocompatibility. Organic small‐molecule/polymer semiconductors offer distinct advantages, including solution‐processability, widely tunable optoelectronic properties, intrinsic mechanical flexibility, and excellent biocompatibility. Consequently, the development of high‐performance organic neuromorphic materials and devices has emerged as a critical imperative for the realization of next‐generation intelligent visual perception systems. This review provides a comprehensive overview of the materials and structures design strategies, fundamental operating mechanisms, and recent technological advancements in organic neuromorphic optoelectronic devices for biomimetic visual perception. Additionally, the current challenges and future perspectives are discussed within this rapidly evolving field, offering a strategic outlook on the trajectory of neuromorphic optoelectronic sensing technologies.
