ORGAN-PRESERVING PRINCIPLE IN THE SURGERY FOR CHRONIC PANCREATITIS IN CASE OF OPEN STENTING OF THE PANCREATIC DUCT
S. PEREHODOV, M. ZABELIN, N. ZVOL'SKAYa, V. ZUBRICKIYThis study focuses on the analysis of the outcomes of treatment of a group of patients with chronic pancreatitis most of whom were operated with performing open stenting of the pancreatic duct. The obtained results indicate that in some cases in the complicated course of chronic pancreatitis a combined organ-preserving intervention can serve as an alternative to extensive pancreaticoduodenal resections and longitudinal pancreaticojejunostomy.
