Orbital cellulitis and panophthalmitis in the early postpartum period following an uncomplicated vaginal delivery: A case report

Pritha Bhatta, Dani Yakang, Usha Kim

Panophthalmitis is a rapidly progressive, vision-threatening, and potentially life-threatening ocular emergency. We report a case of fulminant panophthalmitis in a 25-year-old woman occurring on the fifth day postpartum with no known systemic illness or infective foci.
