Optimization of Daily Maintenance Management of National and Provincial Arterial Highways under the New Situation: Construction of Safety Accident Prevention System Oriented to Staff Mental Health
Yanjin ShiAbstract
Objective
Frontline highway maintenance staff face long-term operational risks and heavy work burdens, which bring persistent occupational psychological pressure, trigger unstable mental states and negative emotions, and become hidden inducements for highway safety accidents. Most current maintenance management systems ignore staff mental health. This paper optimizes daily highway maintenance management mode and builds a safety prevention system based on psychological intervention, to ease work psychological pressure, stabilize staff mental states and reduce safety risks caused by poor mental health.
Subjects and Methods
This research takes frontline maintenance workers and management personnel of ordinary national and provincial arterial highways as research objects. It adopts field investigation, questionnaire survey and comparative empirical analysis. It explores the correlation between high work psychological pressure, abnormal mental states, poor mental health and human-caused safety accidents in maintenance work, and optimizes the whole-process maintenance management process combined with psychological intervention measures.
Results
Unoptimized traditional maintenance management aggravates staff’s cumulative work psychological pressure and deteriorates their mental states, greatly raising accident probability. The optimized management system with targeted psychological intervention effectively relieves occupational psychological pressure, corrects abnormal mental states, improves staff mental health status, and significantly cuts down human-factor safety accidents in highway maintenance.
Conclusions
Mental health status is a key factor affecting highway maintenance safety. Integrating psychological intervention into daily maintenance management can continuously alleviate staff’s work psychological pressure, maintain stable positive mental states, protect on-site workers’ occupational mental health, and realize dual improvement of refined highway maintenance management and intrinsic safety prevention.
