ABSTRACT

Ice accumulation poses significant safety hazards and economic burdens across industrial sectors. Photothermal superhydrophobic coatings provide a practical yet promising solution. However, their fabrication typically requires complex multi step processing, limiting scalable implementation. Herein, we report a one step selective laser melting (SLM) strategy to construct biomimetic rose petal papillary structures directly on Fe‐based metallic glass surfaces (RPMS), eliminating post processing requirements. This biomimetic architecture and amorphous metallic substrate synergistically generate robust photothermal effects, achieving rapid surface heating to 42.9°C under 1 sun. The hierarchical array structure establishes broadband photonic traps, enabling high absorption efficiency across the full solar spectrum. Furthermore, the resultant superhydrophobicity delays ice nucleation, whereas the photothermal effect facilitates rapid de‐icing. Electromagnetic shielding measurements indicate that RPMS achieve an average total shielding effectiveness of 39.1 dB. The combination of passive anti‐icing, active photothermal de‐icing, and electromagnetic shielding within a single surface highlights the multifunctional advantages of the proposed RPMS. This integrated design holds substantial application potential for wind energy, aerospace, and rail transportation systems, advancing the development of all weather anti‐icing/de‐icing platforms.
