On the possible nature of the linear low-temperature contribution to the heat capacity of fullerite C60

A mechanism of glass-like behavior of the heat capacity of pure fullerite is proposed and discussed. The mechanism is based on the assumption of orientational intermolecular disorder in the crystal and on the multilevel nature of the C60 molecular spectrum in a crystal field.
