On the issue of the relationship between legal understanding and interpretation in modern domestic legal science

The article is devoted to the problem of the relationship between legal understanding and interpretation in modern domestic legal science. The author examines the features of interpretation within the framework of classical and non‑classical approaches to law and concludes that the methodology of interpretation is determined by the structure of the cognitive process and the objective sociocultural factors of legal culture. It is emphasized that at present, an integrative approach to law is relevant; it should serve as the basis for developing a domestic legal doctrine that corresponds to the increasingly complex legal reality, external challenges, and domestic tasks related to preserving political and cultural sovereignty.
