I.E. Pavlova, L.N. Bubnova, E.V. Kuzmich, T.V. GlazanovaBackground. A key component of the quality system for immunogenetic research is the level of training of doctors and biologists of tissue typing laboratories (HLA laboratories). Insufficient time is devoted to immunogenetic research within residency programs in the specialty of Clinical Laboratory Diagnostics, and young specialists performing these studies have certain difficulties. Therefore, there is a need to develop advanced training programs for doctors and biologists in HLA laboratories. The aim of this study is to substantiate the need to develop advanced training programs in «Immunogenetic Research» for doctors and biologists in HLA laboratories. Materials and methods. Current domestic and international documents regulating the performance of immunogenetic research, as well as scientific publications devoted to the results of immunogenetic research, were analyzed. Results. This study highlights the main areas of medicine in which immunogenetics plays a significant or key role. This study presents an analysis of documents regulating immunogenetic research in the Russian Federation and in the world, as well as research devoted to studying the relationship between immunogenetic factors and the results of cell and organ transplants. The need for a broader range of studies and the use of current technologies in HLA laboratories in our country is substantiated. A high level of competence of HLA laboratory specialists must be ensured through continuous professional development is essential for achieving these goals. There are the objectives of the theoretical and practical sections of advanced training programs for doctors and biologists in HLA laboratories. The programs are actual for training specialists competent in immunological tissue typing, the selection of histocompatible donor-recipient pairs, and other relevant areas of immunogenetics. Conclusion. The study substantiates the need to develop advanced training programs in «Immunogenetic Research» for doctors and biologists in HLA typing laboratories performing research for transplant centers, the Federal Registry of Bone Marrow Donors, and other medical institutions.
