Occurrence of Laemobothrion maximum and endoparasitic infections in a rescued brahminy kite

A rescued juvenile brahminy kite was presented to Veterinary Clinical Complex, Veterinary College and Research Institute (VCRI), Orathanadu, Tamil Nadu with the history of weakness and inability to fly. The bird was dull, depressed and revealed the presence of lice infestation caused by Laemobothrion maximum in the breast region. The examination of faecal sample revealed the presence of ova of Capillaria sp. and a trematode as well as oocysts of Isospora sp.
