Noncommunicating Hydrocephalus in an Human Immunodeficiency Virus-positive Male: A Diagnostic Challenge

We report a case of a 43-year-old male diagnosed with moderate noncommunicating hydrocephalus, in a human immunodeficiency virus-positive patient. The patient presented with progressive memory loss, and was eventually managed with ventriculoperitoneal shunting. This case report discusses the diagnostic challenges and multidisciplinary approach required in immunocompromised patients presenting with neurological symptoms.
